- DECnet-style Interface for UNIX
-
- Vnet, an add-on for BBC's VCL software, is a DECnet-style user interface that
- lets you continue using familiar VMS commands on UNIX networks. Vnet lets you
- share node operations between your VAX/VMS, VAX/ULTRIX, and UNIX machines.
- Vnet provides a common VMS DECnet-style interface with one or more of the
- following networks: Ascent*DNI, DECnet, KiNET, RISComm-DN, SunLink DNI,
- TCP/IP, and TSSnet. With Vnet you don't have to keep track of the remote node
- operating system or the required syntax for each vendor's networking software.
- A user-configurable host file contains the information necessary for accessing
- each remote node and makes various networking commands transparent.
- Additional Vnet features include: supports DECnet's most common commands used
- to provide support for remote node access, on-line VMS-style help that is
- comprehensive and customizable for site-specific information, provides a set
- of standard scripts for each supported network to help customize site-specific
- network information. All Boston Business Computing products include a 30-day,
- money-back guarantee and free customer support and updates for 60 days.
- Annual maintenance plans are available.
